Arrival at around 9:40 am in Santiago de Chile, the flight as good as it can be with Iberia
But most important is that we arrived safe here. Luggage , well not for Ying. After an hour running around we claimed the missing luggage. The lady told us that it is still in Munich. Why we did the check in 2.5 hours in advance? We went to our La Casa Roja, a real backpacker joint. Still stoned from our flight we tried to find our way thru Santiago heading somewhere but going anywhere. Normally I am not bad in orientation things but today I failed completely. Ying’s payment with Visa card in a restaurant failed because she needed a pin...Hää? That reminds of Russia when I was nearly always told I have to provide the pin instead of a signature. Well, there I failed as well with the pin because they needed a 5 digit pin. We will try at other places. And our mobile phones don’t work.
Achja, the food: After one hour waiting we got the moja picante which was not picante and even cold. Naja, first restaurant bad luck. Now we sit in the garden of our backpacker hostel and the international crowd gathers for drinking and talking…
