After taking a picture with this Argentinian and his son (he travelled already 1.800km with his son on his small Honda from San Rafael towards the south…father dreaming of a KTM like mine and son dreaming of any motorbike:-)) we had an early start towards Esquel. Nice weather and at a stop on the highway we met an older couple from Cologne with a rented mobile home, we decided to proceed offroad to the national park around the Lago Futalaufquen. At the park entrance they told us everything about dangers and also about the Hanta virus. But the lady didn’t answer correctly my question regarding which camping grounds we can use. She said all of them but that was sadly not true. We found a dream spot at a lake but signs pointed out that camping is not allowed due to the prevention of the Hanta virus. Also at an organized camping it was not allowed. In the end we found one. The next day we had to move on because they didn’t sell any food or drinks. For one day we had food but not for two.

Last village before the national park...we bought some food

End of tarmac

...on your knees! :-) I have to release some tire pressure.

At the park entrance some other motorbikers from Italy

At least we found a campground where it was not forbidden to camp. You see the plastic screen around the tent? For the prevention of getting the Hanat virus, they claim. We breathed so much dust that day...that IS a risk for getting the virus.

The taxi driver has to cook also. Ying has a beautiful life :-)

Olive oil, fresh garlic, chili, pepper, salt and finally tuna...with spaghetti. Yummy camp dish.
