Early start from Aktobe for my long way to Aral, 670km away. I fought with the wind in a 60-70° angle and from time to time with sand in it. I felt my body aching from all this angular driving. It could have been a perfect day with a perfect road but then I passed by some signs of the government of Kazakhstan informing something and then 120km before Aral the road stopped. Gravel and heavy road construction followed with dust and flying sand everywhere.
I reached Aral after 8 hours. And I felt a change in mentality, the people (guys) are getting more penetrant and touchier and also the children. I had to hold them back from my motorbike as they tried to to climb it. No reservations.
After a shower with 20 drops/min in my catastrophic hotel for 45Euro (!, but better than Makat) I looked for a restaurant and a drink. Two guys tried to talk to me but not in a friendly manner and I got the impression they were talking themselves into rage. I left quickly the bar walked a bit on the street when another guy kicked me all of a sudden into my rips. Too much, I just went to the restaurant opposite side of my hotel and had my food + went from there directly into my room.
Mosque in Aktobe
..still Aktobe by night
Gastiniza (Hotel!) on the way to Aral
And my "Raststätte" opposite side
The mama made good macaroni! It doesn't has to be a fancy kitchen always:-)
The wind and fly absorber :-)
Tja, auch hier gibt es Brandschutzbedingungen...maybe rudimentary but...
My personal Aral Sea :-) This is flying salt.
I arrived in the desert
The perfect road came to a full stop
