27th of March – Antofagasta to San Pedro de Atacama – 382 km 8h

At 8 am we were on the bike and left Antofagasta. In a small nest called Baquedano we left the highway to Calama and went east into the mountain range. We passed one mine after another until we finally reached the Salar de Atacama which is partially also used by mining companies. The crust is a mix out of salt, earth and crystals. These crust formations are so unbelievable hard.
