21st of Feb - Leaving the island via Puerto Montt to Frutillar

In Puerto Montt we had lunch only. Too busy. So we went further up north.
Volcano Osorno on our way to Frutillar
We found a camp ground and thought of staying longer here. But in the evening the backpacker party crowd came: End of peace.
In the 40's approx. 4.000 Germans escaped to this area: Frutillar, Puerto Varas etc. They even formed the landscape and fields similar to what we know from Germany. Everything clean, neat and nice. But Frutillar made a big jump forward - maybe too big. 20 years ago when I was here there was only one wooden rack into the lake in front of a small village. Now there is a big casino on the lake side. And too much "germanized": You can get Kuchen, even leckeren Kuchen, Tante offers something, Apfelstrudel, Rosenberg and Bischofshofen are also here, Cabanas "Ruf mich an"...amazing.

Leaving again the overcrowded place. Three toilets each for women and men, baah. :-(
