I am still in Sochi. My tires got stuck in the customs in Moscow.
Meanwhile we organized an alternative set at the motorbike dealer in Krasnodar, not a 100% fit but at least tires which would enable me to proceed to Kazakhstan. I calculated 4500km without any motorbike shop and/or changing possibility on the way to Almaty.
The day we had everything organised and ready in Krasnodar I got ill and I was not able to leave. I was down in bed with stomach flu.
Even though not feeling that well I met yesterday Julia and Oleg and we made a nice sightseeing tour. We visited mount Achun from which we enjoyed wonderful views of Sochi and Adler and the Caucasian mountains (but the real heights were in the clouds). After that we had lunch in a very nice restaurant half way down the mountain which I only partially enjoyed :-( Later we had a walk at a creek winding down the mountain with water cascades; very beautiful.
In the evening they invited me to their home in Sochi and we reviewed our photos with beer, fruits and vegetables…of course the ones Julia took were better :-)
I don’t know if I will be able to manage the way to Krasnodar tomorrow. I will decide in the morning “listening” carefully to my tummy :-)

Happy people: Julia and Oleg
