18th January - From our personal end of world to Ushuaia

On the way to Ushuaia
The tent parade on the Ushuaia camp ground, 3km from the city center. After two and a half days without any people in the wilderness somehow a shock. So many tourists.
Ushuaia impressions
I wanted to take a picture from this house. Yes, people live here. Then the shabby dog came...stretching the front...
Aahh, strechting also the back...
Then the cat came..not so shabby...
love seeking animals... I called the dog Flohsack. :-)) But he was so sweet.
Lupines in all colors
The Antartic fleet. Well, for 4.000 USD one can go.
Centolla - king crab. A bit disgusting how these poor animals are presented before they go into the pot. We couldn't go for it.
I told Ying that somehow one cannot see how steep these streets are...
When we had our beer inside I saw outside a car skidding backwards down the road crashing into a pickup, then sliding sidewards further down - I rushed inside to get the Argentinian bikers - but too late. When we were outside again the car crashed already into the bikes. With four guys we pulled the car away from the bikes...the driver of the car was totally drunken. The police and the owner of the bar put him on the ground when he tried to flee. Action!
A turtle on the snow.
Beside us a couple from Lüneburg with motorbikes as well.
Indeed, red poppy. I never saw such a big poppy flower in my life. In this climate, wow.
