In the morning I opened the door of our nice hut in our hostal "Los Delfinos" and went backward in again. Such an offensive smell of fish in the air. Puuh.
There must be some fish industry here which we hadn't seen. In the neighbouring bay we had seen many trawlers. But that the wind carries the smell that far..?
However, we had our breakfast inside the hut and started early towards Huaraz in the mountains.
In the beautiful valley up there agriculture everywhere, fed by the Rio Pativilca. The side cliffs pure desert.
Here we stopped: Chili (Aji) up to the horizont!
Climbing up and up
Again on around 4.000 m.
We entered Huaraz and I was a bit shocked how big this town is. So we went up into the mountains right in the back of Huaraz in order to find a nice place for a stayover. Somehow too remote. Sometimes one simply does not know what one wants :-)
Though nice up there..
View of Huaraz. We went down to the city and looked in the quieter part for a hostal. We found a nice one and the first night was really quiet. The second night however was NOISY due to some party people from Israel:-(
They always come in a (big) group.
The next day we went with the motorbike to the Laguna Llaca on around 4.600m. A bone breaking way up there with the motorbike.
But beautiful!
