We thought we could make it up to Huaraz in the Cordillera Blanca but it was already about 4pm when we reached Barranca, still at the coast.
We went into the city and tried to find the sea. When we found the cliff line and looked down we saw (and smelled) the slaughter house of the city down at the beach. Ying nearly vomited in her helmet.
Later we found the "real" beach with restaurants and also a nice hostal. After doing this and that we went down and discovered that all restaurants except one were meanwhile closed. At 6:30pm, wow.
But we got our food and were early in bed.
