I left Malibou (no, the hotel:-)..and yes, Malibou they called it + not Malibu) at around 11am, I wanted to do it relaxed today. I was still stoned from the 480km yesterday.

I let the Ukrainian speed drivers pass (some of them cannot wait at all, others seem to sleep on the road) and made my 60km to Sevastopol, a harbor city. Cold, only 6°C but the sun came out from time to time. I had a cappuccino in the harbor and cruised through the city…Sunday, everything tranquillo. My GPD guided me towards Yalta, but I wanted to be closer to the shore. I ended up in a village with a natural harbor, something like Balankitschy…nice spot and a lot of mountain bikers around, with motocross helmets…dead end.

I tried a different way out of the village and came back to the R45, going over a pass and coming again closer to the shore…really beautiful scenery. Steep cliffs everywhere and Mediterranean vegetation. I had to stop every 5 minutes for another picture. After approx. 100km, shortly before Yalta, it started raining and I looked up the stone walls of the closest mountains and on top everything white with fresh snow. OMG.

Again, I had problems to find a hotel. I mean, in Yalta it should be easy, it is a tourist spot, if not THE tourist spot in the Ukraine. A parking attendant helped me and guided me with a taxi through the small city center (all one way roads)…and there was my small pension. Before I passed by this house and I would have never thought that this could be a pension…

The weather is really a headache now…Since Hungary I am driving with 2 pairs of gloves, 2 fleece pullovers and a T-shirt over 2 pairs of underwear... I really don’t know what to put on additionally because I still have to be able to move.

Actually the right church is built half way into the lime stone wall

At least 1 picture of me:-)

Fishing in the "natural born habor"

The real Krim.

Snow on the mountains, palms on the left and the first trees try to make it happen..the spring which I also awfully miss.
